FAQ s

What if I don't know what I want?

That's completely normal.

You don't need to arrive with all the answers or a perfectly curated Pinterest board. Through our consultation and trial, we'll figure out what feels most like you. My role is to guide you through the process, refine your ideas, and create a look that feels beautiful, comfortable and authentic to who you are.

Will I still look like me?

Always.

One of the biggest compliments I receive is when a bride tells me she felt completely like herself — just elevated. My goal is never to disguise you, but to create a polished, refined version of you that feels timeless in photographs and beautiful in person.

I don't wear much makeup. Can I still have bridal makeup ?

Absolutely.

Many of my brides wear very little makeup in their everyday lives. Bridal makeup isn't about looking like somebody else — it's about looking like the very best version of yourself. My approach focuses on enhancing your natural beauty while ensuring your makeup photographs beautifully and lasts throughout the day.

What if I cry?

Then I'll probably be handing you a tissue.

Wedding mornings are emotional, and happy tears are very much expected. The products and techniques I use are chosen for longevity, but if a few tears make an appearance before I leave, I'll be right there to touch everything up and make sure you're looking and feeling your best.

How long will my makeup last?

My makeup is designed to last from the first photograph to the last dance.

Every application is tailored to your skin type, your wedding plans and the season, using professional products and techniques that prioritise both longevity and comfort. The goal is glowing, beautiful skin that still feels like skin — all day long.

What if my skin changes after the trial?

This is more common than you might think.

Trials aren't about creating a look and never speaking about it again. If your skin behaves differently, your preferences evolve, or we discover something that could work better, we'll make adjustments. Bridal makeup is a collaborative process, and flexibility is part of that.

What can I expect from the experience?

For me, it's never just about the makeup.

Beautiful makeup matters deeply, but so does how you feel while wearing it. From the moment you enquire, my focus is on creating a calm, supportive and personalised experience. I'll guide you through the process, help you feel looked after, and ensure your wedding morning feels as special as the occasion itself.

My role extends far beyond applying makeup. I'll help guide the morning, calm any nerves, fix a button, hold a bouquet, wipe away a happy tear and ensure you feel completely looked after from start to finish.

Do you stay once the makeup is finished?

That depends on the experience you've chosen.

Some brides simply need me there for the morning, while others love the reassurance of having me on hand for final checks, touch-ups, photographs and those emotional moments before the ceremony. If that sounds like something you'd value, my Concierge and Refresh options may be perfect for you.

Is the Refresh package worth it?

For some brides, absolutely.

Most bridal makeup will last beautifully all day without intervention. However, if makeup is something you truly love, you're planning lots of photographs, or simply want the reassurance of having me there to refresh, perfect and support you throughout the day, it can be an incredibly valuable addition to your experience.

Think of it as a little extra peace of mind, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the celebrations while I take care of the details.

How early should I book?

Most of my brides secure their date 12–24 months in advance, particularly for peak-season weekends.

If you've found a date and feel we might be the right fit, I always recommend enquiring sooner rather than later. Once a date is booked, it's booked.

Do you travel?

Yes.

I'm based in Lancashire and regularly travel throughout the Lake District, Cumbria, Lancashire and the UK. Whether you're getting married by the lakes, in the countryside or overseas , I'd love to be part of your day.

How many people can you accommodate?

Every wedding morning is different.

The number of people I can accommodate depends on your ceremony time, location and chosen services. If additional artists are needed, I can recommend trusted professionals who share the same high standards of artistry, professionalism and care.

Do you only work with brides?

Not at all.

Whether you're the bride, a bridesmaid, mother of the bride, grandmother, or a special guest, you'll receive the same level of care, attention and artistry. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, confident and looked after on such a special occasion.

Megan, you take a lot of content. I don't want to be online — is that okay?

Absolutely.

While I love capturing little moments from the morning, your comfort will always come first. Some brides are happy to be featured regularly, while others would prefer to keep things private — and both are completely okay. I'll always ask permission before sharing any images or videos, and if you'd rather not be featured at all, just let me know. Your wedding day is about you, not social media.
